4Cultural Considerations:

The people of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have highly prized virtues; such as courtesy and hospitality, and they are warm and friendly. Please consider these few guidelines for behavior and dress code.

Men and women should ensure shoulders and knees are covered when in public, especially in souks, shops and villages and care should be taken not to give offence by wearing clothing which may be considered revealing, for example low-cut dresses, very short skirts, or tight jeans.

Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings.

Alcohol beverages are only available in hotels, and restaurants in the hotels. You are advised to use alcohol in moderation as inappropriate behavior due to alcohol intoxication is not acceptable.

Normal tourist photography is acceptable, but it is considered offensive to photograph Arab women. It is also courteous to ask permission before photographing men. Photographs of government buildings or military installations are not allowed.

4CPD/CME:

• Only delegates attending the full conference day/days, as per registration, will receive CPD/CME certificates. it remains the discretion of the organizer to award CPD/CME points to delegates
• Further information regarding the body of accreditation and the number of CPD/CME points will be available at a later date

4Accomodation:

• Delegates are responsible for their own accommodation
• The following accommodation options are available:

4Transport:

• Transport will be provided to and from Tawam hospital and the conference venue as well as both the dinner venues
• If you come to the UAE through the main airports, the distance to Al Ain from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi airport is around 140 km.
• No transport will be provided for delegates to and from airports and hotels.
