Abstract Guidelines
- Physicians, Basic Research, Nursing, Paramedical are all encouraged to submit abstracts
- Abstracts must be written in English
- Accepted format: Word document format, 9 point Arial font, Maximum 500 word count limit
- Use a concise title
- List affiliations of author(s) as briefly as possible, with city, state and country
- Place an asterisk (*) before the name of the presenting author
- Use standard and well-accepted abbreviations
- When using references, use standard and well-accepted Lancet format
- Abstracts will be subjected to Independent Peer Review by the abstract review committee
- Interns, Resident, Basic Researcher’s and Students encouraged to apply through their supervisors
- Best selected abstracts qualify for awards
- Abstracts are subject to acceptance by the Scientific Committee.
- Once accepted, abstracts will be published in the proceedings
- Abstract content should be single-spaced, typed in lower case and contain:
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Submit abstracts on or before November 15, 2009.
Acceptance notifications and guidelines will be sent by November 22, 2009.
Authors of accepted abstracts who have not registered will have until November 30, 2009 to do so. After this date, abstracts without registered presenters will be disregarded.
Posters Guidelines:
- Every poster presenter shall prepare and print the poster at their own institution.
- A reference number will be assigned to each poster.
- All posters should be places on the poster boards at least 90 minutes before the start of the poster session.
- Ticktack poster pin will be provided to stabilize the poster.
- Glows, taps, duct taps, nails and self-adhesive glow will not be provided.
