Circulation Services Circulation services exist to provide Tawam Hospital staffs with an opportunity to check materials in and out using their Tawam ID Card. Membership:
Borrowing Policy:
Tawam Medical Library members’ are allowed to check out 3 books at a time.
Recalling a Checked-Out Item
If a needed item is in circulation, call the Circulation Desk to request that the item be recalled. You will be notified when the item has been received.
Overdue Warning Letter: Letters can be avoided if the books are returned or renewed on time. If you are having difficulty in returning your loans, please inform the librarian as soon as possible, preferably before they become overdue. The Library will send three reminders letters for three weeks, for the patron that fall to return books on time. The fourth letter will be send to the hospital administration for further follow up and this will lead to paying fines for late items.
Fine Policy for Missing or Damaged Items: If the item is identified to be missing by the library user, then a fine policy would be implemented as follow: ►Replace the same item or the latest edition of that item if available in the market. OR ►Pay the price of the item plus, Dhs.50 for processing charges. (the price will be determined by the librarian)
How to avoid fines
Internet Stations: There are 5 computers connected with the internet. Each user is entitle of having 30 minutes only a day. If the computer is available, then it can be used freely until next staff arrives. ► Printing Policy:
